Bruce is a life-long Rotarian having joined his home club, Scotia in 1985. While always preferring to remain in the background, he has been his club President as well as holding other club offices, and was named his club’s Rotarian of the Year. Bruce served as District Governor’s aide for two different DGs in District 7190. He has been the chair of the District Day of Service for the past 5 years. Each year on the Day of Service upwards of eight projects have been done simultaneously involving over 90  Rotarians and non-Rotarians with projects ranging from building a bridge over a creek in a town park to cleaning and sorting glass negatives for a historical society. Bruce was the recipient of the ‘Four Avenues of Service’ Citation from Rotary International and has served as Assistant Governor in his District as well as serving on the District nominating committee. Bruce has also hosted Youth Exchange students in his home.  

Bruce has retired twice. The first time from a 40 year career in sales management and then retired from a 6 year career in Safety Training from an international company.

He is a Rotary Foundation Benefactor and he and his wife Lorraine, also a Rotarian, are Major Donors to the Rotary Foundation.
