Jerry was born and raised in Clinton County, in the North East corner of New York State. Attending SUNY at Plattsburgh, he holds a BS degree in Human Resources and Business Management. Additionally, he attended the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA, graduating with a certificate in Aviation Safety.
At graduation from SUNY Plattsburgh, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the USMC. During his eight years of active duty Jerry graduated from Naval Flight Training and was designated a Naval Aviator. He accumulated more than 2000 flight hours and has a commercial pilot license for both fixed and rotary winged aircraft.
After leaving active duty Jerry eventually settled in CNY with a career in public education administration. He retired from Fulton City School District in 2019.
His wife Bridgette is also a Rotarian having served has Past-President of the Rotary Club of Fulton. Jerry has been a Rotarian since September 15, 2005, holding the following positon: Secretary, Foundation Chair, Treasure, Membership Chair, 3 time Past-President 09, 13, and 17, and District 7150 AG.
Jerry and Bridgette have been married since 2001 with 3 children, Jonathan, Ali, and Kelly. They have 7 grandchildren and 7 foster grandchildren.
Jerry has remained active over the years serving on the Board of Directors for: the National Ski Patrol, Titus Mountain Chapter; CNY Girl Scout Council; Fulton YMCA; Oswego County Salvation Army; and is currently on the Volney Town Planning Board.
He enjoys outdoor actives, reading, and spending time with his family.
