Karen Parkhurst
District 7120 District Grants Chair

 
Karen joined the Victor-Farmington Rotary Club in 2004.  She has been Secretary of the club since 2004, except for 2 years when she served as Club President. She has been an Assistant Governor for 3 years and District Executive Secretary for 6 years.  Currently she serves District 7120 as District Grants Chair and Stewardship Chair. She is retired after 24 years as Financial Officer for New Energy Works Timber Framers in Farmington.  She lives in Canandaigua, has 3 adult children, and 6 grandchildren.  
 
Karen is a Rotary Foundation Major Donor, a Paul Harris Society member, a Rotary Benefactor, and a sustaining member.  She has managed several club global grant projects in Nicaragua and in Paraguay, traveling to both countries to see the results of the projects. She is currently considered a district resource for global grants and works with clubs both in District 7120 and other districts.  Karen is also an active board member of the Ontario County Economic Development Corporation and is chairperson of its Finance Committee. And, she is involved in her Town of Canandaigua, serving as chair for their Affordable Housing Committee, an active member of the Conservation Easement Committee, and an active member of the Parks and Recreation Committee. In her spare time, Karen enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
