2023 Welcome

 

I am Past District Governor (2014-2015) Deborah A. (Deb) Glisson. As Chair of this Rotary Empire Multi-District Presidents’ Elect Training Seminar, it is my pleasure to welcome you to your 2023-2024 In-Person MD PETS Event!

 

The District Governor’s Elect of your Rotary Districts (7120, 7150, 7170, and 7190) have been working diligently over the past 10 months to plan “your” MD PETS experience. It will be one that provides opportunities for you to connect in-person with current Rotary leaders from locations miles and miles from your homes, as well as those who may be your next-door neighbors. Over the course of the weekend, you will be exposed to a variety of aspects of the Rotary experience. Each speaker will provide the most current information, thoughts, ideas, and training to prepare you for your year as Club President.

 

We are especially honored to have our Rotary International Director, Drew Kessler, join us in person. Director Kessler will be with us from Friday evening until Sunday morning. He will be speaking directly with our full group on Saturday evening as our keynote speaker. I am hopeful that you will be comfortable introducing yourselves to him and to pose any questions you have throughout this event as he visits various breakout sessions and enjoys his meals in your company.

I personally anticipate hearing details from him regarding how he is urging members to embrace the most current steps toward expanding Rotary membership and the work of all Rotarians.

 

Throughout this PETS event, you will be able to connect with your President Elect counterparts from across New York State. Please take advantage of the breaks provided to network with your Rotary colleagues. They will be available to assist you. You may want to share your contact information, exchange ideas, ask pertinent questions, offer thoughts, etc. throughout the weekend.
